Product description:

This hard-working Pumpkin Glycolic Masque is designed to exfoliate and resurface the skin for a smoother, and even complexion. It helps to remove dead skin cells from the surface to reveal brighter skin.

Made with Pumpkin enzymes and Glycolic Acid, this masque works to leave behind plump, smooth skin with a more even skin tone.

Ideal for all skin types, but we recommend due to the active AHA's to avoid if you have sensitive skin or are prone to redness.

Claims:

  • Exfoliate Dead Skin Cells and resurface the skin for a smoother and even complexion
  • Fades mild hyperpigmentation like dark spots, age spots, freckles, and melasma.
  • Reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Hydrates dry skin.

Caution:

  •  Keep away from direct sunlight.
  • Not recommended for people with extremely sensitive skin because it has actives like AHA i.e., exfoliating acid.
  • Patch test is a must.

My experience with the product:

Packaging:  Earth Rhythm pore out masque comes in a pastel yellow colored glass tub packaging, that looks really pretty. And the cap is made of plastic and can break easily. Their other masques come in pretty pastel packaging too, that's very attractive.

Colour and texture: The masque is light yellow colored and the texture is not so thick, it is flowy but not watery.

Fragrance: I don't understand the weird paint-like fragrance of this masque. It did bother me in the beginning, but I am fine with it now. There is no added fragrance to it, that's the plus point.

Who is this for?  Earth Rhythm Pore out masque is for those who have used AHAs and BHAs in their skincare routine before. It is for people with all skin types, except for those who have extremely sensitive skin. You can try it if you are looking for something that gives bright and radiant skin with mild exfoliation.

First impression: At first, I didn't like the paint-like fragrance of this masque. When I first tried it on, it did tingle on my skin till it started drying. But that's normal. It definitely made my skin soft and radiant from the first use. It never caused any irritation or breakouts.

How long I have been using it?  I have been using it for 6 months now. I use it once 15 days or sometimes once a week.

How I like to use it?  I like to use it after cleansing my face at night only. I use it when my skin looks dull. I apply an even layer of this masque on my skin and leave it on for about 15 minutes and wash it off. And follow it up with a nice moisturizer. And it's important to use sunscreen the next morning since this masque contains glycolic acid that exfoliates the skin.

I don't use it on the day I use any other form of chemical exfoliation like BHA toner or AHA essence. Otherwise, it can lead to over-exfoliation and can sensitize the skin. That can make the skin prone to more breakouts, irritation, and many other issues.

Effects on my skin:  This masque gives immediate results, like bright and radiant skin. But I don't really see any prolonged benefits from this masque. Obviously, it exfoliates the skin and makes the skin smoother, and gives an even complexion. But there are many other products that give better results. This masque is just a fancy addition to my skincare routine. And I reach out to it when my skin feels dull and I need radiant brighter skin. It claims to hydrate the skin, that is not true, it kind of dries out the skin.

Will I repurchase it?  Not really, I may try other variant.

Do I recommend it?  I recommend it to people with all skin types who are looking for radiant, bright skin and even skin complexion. Not recommended for people with extremely sensitive skin.

Conclusion:

  • The packaging is pretty.
  • The texture is not really thick and is flowy.
  • It has paint-like weird fragrance, but no added fragrance.
  • Tingles on the skin for some time, but it's normal.
  • Discontinue the use if it continues to tingle or causes any kind of irritation.
  • Don't leave it on for more than 15 minutes.
  • Use at night and moisturize the skin well after masking.
  • Do not forget sunscreen the next day
  • Makes skin softer and evens out the complexion.
  • Doesn't really give long time results.
  • The skin hydrating claim is false in my opinion.
  • It's more of a fancy addition to your skincare collection.
  • A bit expensive for the quantity and the results it provides.
  • I would prefer a clay mask and toner or essence with AHA/BHA instead of this masque.
  • Not a bad product, but not a must-have.
