My experience with the product:

Packaging: Good Vibes Skin Brightening Facial Oil has an outer cardboard box with the necessary details written on it. The facial oil comes in a dark blue colored glass bottle. It comes with a dropper to make it easy to use. The packaging is sturdy and leak-proof, hence makes it travel-friendly.

Colour, texture, and fragrance:  The oil is light golden in color. The oil is sticky to touch. It has a sweet but strong fragrance. It smells a bit like other almond oils.

I love facial oils even though I have oily skin. When I saw Good Vibes almond oil, I wanted to get it. I had very high expectations for this oil. I bought this oil last year but didn't really use it as much. I used this oil just 4-5 times.

I washed my face, used toner. Then applied 3 drops of oil all over the face and tried to massage it until it got absorbed into my skin. This is what the directions said. But its really difficult to massage this oil on the skin, the oil is thick and sticky. Though I massaged it well, this oil doesn't get absorbed easily into the skin.

The first time I used it was in winter when my skin was dehydrated. This facial oil felt good on my skin. This oil claims to brighten the skin complexion, but no. It didnt brighten my skin complexion. Maybe continuous use will help to even out skin tone. I used this oil twice in winters and discontinued using it for no particular reason.

I thought of giving it a try in summers. I used this facial oil to massage my face. This irritated my skin, I don't know why. I got tiny red bumps on my forehead and cheeks, almost all over the face. (This didn't happen in winter). I thought of trying this product twice more before judging. I used it again and faced the same issue again. It clogged my pores every time I used it. However, this product never claimed to be non-comedogenic.

Good Vibes Skin brightening almond oil claims to fade dark circles. So, I decided to use it only on under eyes to get rid of dark circles. I used it for about a week, it reduced dark circles to some extent but again got tiny bumps around under eye area and cheeks. So, I had to discontinue the use. Also, it contains perfume (as mentioned in the ingredient list) it is not a good thing to use on sensitive skin under eyes.

Now, what about the remaining oil? I don't want to waste a full bottle of facial oil. I use it as a cuticle oil. I apply it on cuticles and massage cuticles and nails for a few seconds, which works well.

Conclusion:

  • Helps fade dark circles.
  • It didn't work on my skin in summers. Maybe good for winters (dehydrate skin).
  • Not a good option for oily skin types. Maybe good for people with dry skin types.
  • Triggers fungal acne (if you have). And it clogs pores.
  • Contains fragrance. If your skin is sensitive to fragrance, this oil is not for you.
  • Not sure if it brightens skin, evens out complexion or not.
  •

Will I repurchase it? Never, Rosehip oil/serum from this brand is my favorite.

Do I recommend it? Not really.
