Product description:

Powered with the benefits of activated charcoal, Good Vibes Charcoal Face wash is a natural detoxifier for your skin.
Everyday pollution leading to clogged pores causes the skin to produce excess oil and sweat which leads to blackheads and dullness.
Using activated Charcoal helps control oil production which prevents acne and blackheads. It leaves you with a deeply cleansed oil-free fresh looking skin.

Directions to use:

Pump out the face wash in palms. Lather it up with water and massage on damp face. Rinse with water.

Claims:

  • Helps unclog pores
  • Treats blackheads
  • Balance pH and controls the Sebum level.
  • Brightens skin
  • Absorbs toxins.

Caution:

  • Avoid contact with eyes. Rinse with water in case that happens.
  • Natural ingredients may be irritating to some people.
  • Always do a patch test before use.

My experience with the product:

Packaging: Good Vibes charcoal face wash (or any other Good Vibes face wash) comes in a transparent plastic bottle with pump packaging. The pump comes with the locking system, but the lock doesn't close once opened. However, the product didn't leak while traveling even if the pump wasn't locked. That is maybe because of the thick consistency of the face wash. I am confused whether to call it travel-friendly packaging or not.

Texture and color: Good vibes charcoal face wash is obviously black in color due to the presence of charcoal in it. The texture of the face wash is soft and thick.

Fragrance: This face wash has a very mild fragrance and doesn't bother me. The ingredient list mentioned "perfume" in it (I am assuming the fragrance is artificial). However, the fragrance doesn't seem like it is artificial.

How long did I use it? I had been using it for 6 months now. I don't use only this face wash. I alternate between The Face Shop Rice water bright foaming cleanser and this face wash.

How do I use it? I use this face wash only in the morning because this face wash is very gentle and this face wash doesn't "deeply cleanse". So, I like to use Face shop rice water bright face wash at night because it foams really well and cleanses the skin very well giving me a squeaky clean feel.

Effects on my skin: As I mentioned above, this face wash is very gentle on the skin. This face wash doesn't lather much. But, it does a good job of the cleansing face without stripping off natural oils from the skin. It makes my skin feel very clean and fresh every time I use it. This face wash claims to brighten up the skin, that's true. It does brighten up my skin a little bit. But it doesn't really unclog pores or remove blackheads.

This face wash is called "deep cleansing", but it doesn't deeply cleanse the pores. That is my only issue with this face wash. Also, it doesnt remove blackheads. I dont understand why do they put false claims in the website.

Will I repurchase it? May be or may not be. I like this face wash but would love to try some other face wash.
Do I recommend it? Yes, a good and affordable option for people with oily skin.

Conclusion:

This is the right face wash for people with oily skin who are looking for an affordable and gentle cleanser.
  • Very gentle on the skin.
  • Best for oily skin to combination skin types.
  • Not really suitable for dry skin
  • Has mild fragrance.
  • Suits sensitive skin.
  • Brightens skin.
  • This face wash doesn't deep cleanse.
  • Doesn't unclog pores.
  • Doesn't remove blackheads.
